It has been a rather strange week for us here in the pro shop due to the drastic changes we have had to make by moving the desk to the front door, in line with the new government regulations that have been put in place. Due to this, we are running a click and collect services, ordering over the phone or any essentials from the door of the Pro shop for the time being. As Gareth mentioned last week, make sure you keep an eye on the emails and the weekly newsletter that we will still be sending out. This will keep you up to date with any new products or deals we have leading up to Christmas. All of your continued support is greatly appreciated by all of us here in the Pro shop during these strange times.

Prior to the governments tier 4 regulations I managed to get out and play my first professional tournament on Friday in one of the PGA Assistants winter series events at Largs Golf Club. Unfortunately, we did not get the weather for it, with constant heavy showers throughout the round, making it very frustrating and difficult to score. What can I say, having to mark down a double-figure score on the card early on in the round is never how you want to start! It was definitely a shock to the system as I found myself on the back foot straight away. Despite that setback, I really enjoyed getting out and playing under some pressure with a scorecard in my hand. The golf course was in great condition despite being very heavy and wet underfoot. Let’s hope I can build on the experience and take some good golf into next season with plenty of practice over the coming months!

Fingers crossed for some decent weather over the next few weeks so we can get out onto the golf course. Make sure you all manage to keep the double-figure scores off your card!
