Hello Golfers,
Pro's news
Competition news

Last Saturday 15th July, the Ferguson Bowl was competed for and played in a Par/Bogey competition format, a change from the usual stroke play or Stableford competitions. It was another great weekend weather-wise and with the great condition of the course, there were good scores to be had.

Stephen McGregor took the spoils and the Ferguson Bowl with a score of 6, winning by 2. John Bryson was second on better inward half with a score of 4, followed by Iain Carmichael on the same score. John Duff, Mark Meney, Ewan Robertson and Campbell Leckie all finished with scores of 3 and finished 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th respectively.

Some great scores in an interesting format, well-done guys!

The next medal will be the Grangemuir cup on Saturday 5th September. Make sure you get your names in for that and fingers crossed for some good weather!

Wednesday and Saturday sweep

The Pro Shop sweeps are continuing.

As many of you will be aware, we run a sweep on every Wednesday and Saturday there is no club competition on. It will be open to anyone playing on those two days, male or female.

Entry is entirely voluntary. Ideally please let us know via email whether you will be taking part if you have a tee time booked that day or alternatively, we will be taking entries on the day.

The competition rules will be set out as follows:

- Entry will be £4 per player which will include two’s and sweep, entry of both will be compulsory.

- Payment for entry will be accepted via cash (providing hand sanitiser is used prior to handling cash) or by contactless card payment.

- All winnings will be paid onto your shop account if you either have a two or win.

- The format will be Stableford, full handicap.

- You will keep your own score and the score of your playing partner. No exchanging of scorecards.

- Once you have completed your round you will verbally confirm your scores with each other. Again, no swapping or signing of cards.

- Upon finishing the 18th hole and making sure that scores are correct, you will call them into the shop where a staff member will keep a record of scores and any twos.
