Time is running out to enter your team for this year’s Pro’s Day folks. Eddie has confirmed that associate members will be able to take part again this year providing they book a tee off time after 12pm. You can also bring along a guest at your £12 rate if you’re struggling to find a team mate.

Entry is £15 per player which will include coffee and roll before your round and a drink after the game. We have had a fantastic uptake to date and free times are filling up so please be sure to either call or pop in to get your name and or team entered for what will be a great day’s golf.

On another note I would just like to say a massive thanks to everyone who has dropped a gift in for Lyla and Lauren. Lyla has been exceptionally spoilt and I can’t thank you all enough.

Bonus Ball

In it to Win It

The bonus ball for a new pair of FootJoy Arc SL shoes was completed last week, there are obviously plenty of members looking to try and get a new pair of shoes for the season at a bargain price. Well done to Dave Pavitt.

Competition news

Weekly Round Up

Saturdays J F Torry Memorial Trophy was played in mixed conditions. The early starters got the best of the weather with the wind starting to pick up in the late morning. There was plenty of good scores with four nett 65’s being returned. The eventual winner was Graeme Rennie who won on count back. Congratulations.

Wednesdays Stableford Competition was also closely contested with the top seven places being covered by 3 shots. David Grant came out victorious with 40 points from David Murdoch in second place on the better inward half on 38 points and David secured third place with 38 points. Well played guys, keep it up.

Well done to all the golfers who returned some great scores.

PING Fitting Day

The PING Fitting Day has had an amazing uptake with all of the appointments being filled up within the first week.

With all of the slots being taken already it is set to be a busy day!

Wow. What a strike

How good does it feel when you strike the ball right out of the sweet spot? Pretty special, right? As much as we'd all love to, striking the centre of the clubface on every shot isn't realistic, which is why opting for some irons with added MOI could make all the difference.

What is MOI?
