Hi folks,

Another busy week ahead of us here at the course with a number of competitions set to take place over the next week. These include the JF Torry Memorial trophy on Saturday 15th and the annual seniors open, the Roger Casket on Wednesday the 12th. With a full field for the Roger Casket and the field filling up quickly for the weekend competition, the course will be very busy. Hopefully the weather holds up for us and you can all take advantage of the conditions when you get a chance.

As many of you know our annual Pro’s Day is fast approaching. It takes place of Saturday the 29th June and is set to be another great day. As mark said last week, it is a two man team format, similar to previous years but this year it will take the form of a two man Texas scramble, giving you the chance to get some really low scores. It is £30 per team and if you are able to pay on the time of booking your slot for the day it would be much appreciated. This money includes a roll and a tea or coffee before your round and a drink after your round. It is set up to be a great day so make sure you all get a space before they fill up.

Finally, as many of you may have noticed, we have a limited edition Titleist Cart bag in the shop at the moment. This is linked to the promotion with golf balls that Titleist are running at the moment.

The bonus ball for the brand New Titleist Vokey Wedge didn’t run for long with it being completed on Saturday. Well done to Gary Rodger who was the lucky winner, well done Gary as you’ll need plenty of spin with the greens getting faster.

Weekly Round Up

Last Wednesday’s June Hourston Trophy was played in good conditions with a slightly wet start to the day but that didn’t stop the eventual winner. Well done to Alan Ireland who shot an amazing 71 for a nett 63.

Saturdays Summer Meeting was the final qualifier for the Club Championship and the Coila Cup which saw plenty of golfers out playing despite the incorrect weather forecast. Division 1 had three nett 66s at the top but on count back the winner was Gary Higham. Division 2 was a totally different situation with a nett 57 winning by 7 shots, well don’t to Alasdair Stevenson.

Well done to all the golfers who took part.

Well done to all of the Qualifiers for both the Club Championship and the Coila Cup, the draws are on the competition board at the back door.

Fitting news

PING Fitting Day

The PING demo day has had an amazing uptake with all of the appointments being filled up within the first week.

However there has been a cancellation by one member so if you are interested then please call the shop to ensure you get booked in.

Find the short stuff
