Mark's Blog Hi folks, It’s been a mixed week weather wise to be out on the golf course but in traditional St Nicholas fashion the golf course has remained busy as always. The golf course is starting to take shape with plenty of growth starting to show. The 17th and 18th tees are now back open for play almost bringing the course back to its full yardage, hopefully the sun will return to help the course along further. The annual Pro’s Day Competition is coming up at the end of this month on the 29th. It’s going to be another 2 man team event with a different format than the last two years but we’ll keep that a secret for now. The entry fee will once again be £30 as it was last year and you can also bring guests as well with food and drink being included in your fee. There will be plenty of great prizes up for grabs so it’s well worth entering. Pop into the shop whenever you’re next passing and get your time before you miss out, it’s definitely going to be one of the best competitions of the year. Everyone in the shop apart from the new dad were away playing some competitions this week. Calum is away playing the Norther Open this week so we will update you next week with his result. Myself and Jordan were away playing in the Belleisle Cup on Sunday, facing the weather over 36 holes. It was a windy day with some rain early on so our scores weren’t the best in the first round but improved in the second. I shot 77 and 71 with Jordan shooting 81 73. The afternoon scores definitely made us want to come back and play again. Hopefully, the week improves for everyone wanting to play some golf and we will see plenty of you in the shop. Thanks Mark |
