Calum and Jordan are sunning it up in warm Portugal golfing this week. Here are a couple of videos, you can decide how well the golfing is going…. Both Mark and I are very jealous. The weather they say has been good, as is the night life I’m sure. I’ll have them both straight back to the grind when they get back and I’m sure this cold weather will be a bit of a shock to the system for them. The clocks have now changed which means we are operating under winter hours. Please have a look at the winter hours below: Monday-Sunday 08:30 - 15:30 Competition days 08:00 - 15:30 Have a great week. Gareth |

Put a plan in place It might be easy to lose the motivation for golf in this type of weather but that makes it the perfect time to start working on your game so its ready for next season. Putting together a lesson plan for the winter period is the best way to make sure there aren’t any parts of your game letting you down. Gareth offers individual 45 minutes lessons for £30 to get you started for some quick changes but if you want to work on your game over the winter the block of 6 lessons for the price of 5 (£150) is the best way to get a proper winter plan in place. |
|
Are you struggling to score on the course or want to know what part of your game to start working on first? On course 9 hole lessons with Gareth are ideal for this as he can see hat you are doing on the course and suggest what you may need to change or even how to approach a certain shot. These can be booked for £60 or you can use two of your block lessons together. Once you’ve worked on your game and feel like your swing is working well gapping sessions are also available. So many people don’t take enough club or don’t even know how far their clubs go so gapping for only £35 can help you hit more greens and save a lot of shots. If you need help with your game get a lesson booked in by either calling in to the shop on 01292 473904 or stopping in, this can be done in advance or if any early cancelations are available we can let you know. One of our staff will be happy to help. Click here and get in touch if you would like to book a lesson. |

An all-American affair Xander Schauffele showed U.S. Ryder Cup captain Jim Furyk exactly what he was missing at Le Golf National, as he pulled off a stunning play-off victory at the WGC-HSBC Champions in Shanghai. Schauffele clawed back a three-shot deficit to fellow American Tony Finau, making birdies on the final two holes to force a play-off, before making another birdie at the first sudden-death hole to win his third PGA title. Schauffele was named 'Rookie of the Year' in the 2016-17 season, and is proving his credentials once again this year, despite switching equipment manufacturers at the start of the season. If you’re also thinking of a move away from your current set of clubs, come down to the shop and we’ll get you fitted down to every last detail! Request a fitting here. |
Winter is coming, but we know that won't prevent you avid golfers getting out on the course to face biting winds, muddy shoes and, most of all, rain. Lots and lots of rain. With this in mind, it's more important than ever to have a golf bag which will keep your clubs and belongings dry during a downpour. |
