This week saw me back to doing a couple of golf lessons to test the leg out before going back to a full teaching schedule. I had a putting session with Sam this week where we highlighted the importance of a good set up position. Can you guess which is the before and after photo??

Q. Kenny, Jimmy and Hugh are playing in the monthly medal. Kenny is last to tee off on the 12th hole but unfortunately carves his drive onto the beach. Instead of walking back to his golf bag which he had left behind the 10th green he asked jimmy for another ball. Again he carves his drive onto the beach. This time he asks Hugh for a spare ball which his finishes on the fairway. Is it permissible to borrow items of equipment from other players?
Did you get the answer to last week's rule?
Q. Gordon starts his February Medal round with 14 clubs. As they prepare to leave the 5th green he notices that the players in front of them are still waiting to tee off and the group behind them are still on the tee. Ronnie has just picked up a new putter from Gareth in the pro shop and is putting beautifully, so Gordon borrows Ronnie's new putter and makes several practice putts on the 5th green. What is the ruling?
A. There is no penalty, assuming that Gordon did not unduly delay play. Such practice putting is permitted by Rule 7-2. The borrowing of Ronnie's putter does not breach Rule 4-4a since the putter was not used to make a stroke that counted in Gordon's score. Decision- 4-4a/13.
