Last week the R&A proposed some key changes to the Rules of Golf from 2019. Their Rules Modernisation initiative has been underway for a few years now and this is the next stage in that process. The aim is to not only make the Rules easier to understand, but also to address some of the game's current problems, such as speed of play, and ensure they fit the needs of today's game.
Please spare a couple of minutes to complete our survey, which gives you the chance to have your say on the proposed changes.
We've picked out some of the most significant Rules changes for you to digest in this survey, before giving you the chance to say whether you agree or disagree with each of them. It'll be great to know your thoughts.

This week saw the temperature creep up a notch, which made it feel like Spring was starting to take shape. It's been a very busy week in the proshop with yet more deliveries arriving daily. The new range of golf grips have landed this week. We have a large array of grips to choose from to suit every customers' needs. Pop in and we will talk you through what type and size of grips suits you. Having good grip on your golf clubs is vital when playing golf. Having poor or over used grips can affect the way you control the golf club through the swing and how the club is delivered to the golf ball at impact.

Q. Gordon starts his February Medal round with 14 clubs. As they prepare to leave the 5th green he notices that the players in front of them are still waiting to tee off and the group behind them are still on the tee. Ronnie has just picked up a new putter from Gareth in the pro shop and is putting beautifully, so Gordon borrows Ronnie's new putter and makes several practice putts on the 5th green. What is the ruling?
Did you get the answer to last week's rule? Q. Douglas and Neil were playing a tie in the Jubilee Bowl. Douglas wins the match on the 17th hole but then concedes the tie to Neil as he is going on an extended holiday and cannot continue in the competition. Is this permissible?
A. No. Douglas won the match. A beaten player may not be reinstated in such circumstances. Douglas should be posted as the winner and, since he cannot continue his opponent in the next round would win by default. Rule 2-4, Decision 2-4/19.
