Pros news

My knee surgery recovery is now officially underway having attended my first physiotherapy session on Monday. A slight setback though as I have been told that I will be spending another 2 weeks on crutches. This unfortunately means that I will not be able to give any golf lessons until the end of February at the earliest. I see my specialist on February 21st so hopefully some more positive news when I see him.

I plan to make my return to work week commencing 13th February and will be chair bound in the Proshop so feel free to pop in for a visit.

Many thanks once again for all the get well wishes.

See you all soon.

Junior news

The juniors were back to their new 5 Hole Order of Merit format on Sunday. They had a great day for it with good weather even if it was a bit on the cold side.

We had a great turnout with 31 juniors playing & the winner this week came in the form of Luke Jones with a fantastic score of 22 shots.

Congratulations!!!

Rule of the week

Q. John and Steve are playing in a stroke play competition. John was playing his tee shot at the 6th hole. Unfortunately, during his back swing Steve accidentally dropped his golf ball and it rolled to within six inches of John's golf ball. The sudden appearance of Steve's ball distracted John and caused him to top the shot. Steve suggested that as this was abnormal situation, John should be allowed to replay his stroke. Is that the correct ruling?

Find out next week.
