We will be rolling out a new trial junior coaching programme this winter starting on Sunday, 6 November. An order of merit will be put in place for the winter period with kids from our 5-hole groups and 18-hole groups joining together. This will encourage all kids to get to know one another as well as the older kids teaching our younger golfers the etiquette of the game during their rounds of golf.
The kids will have a junior lunch / prize giving every Sunday after their game of golf where the winners on the day will be announced but more importantly all juniors will go home with a prize for participating. The support from the membership towards our junior section has been fantastic to date.
We are hoping that this will continue and encourage any member who may be interested in sponsoring the bags of sweets we have sourced for each child, or the golf balls we have sourced for prizes, which can be logo'd with your company's name/logo, to get in touch with us.
I firmly believe that our junior section is growing from strength to strength and without the support of our volunteers and the golf club committee we would not be in the position that we are in today. Once again thank you to you all.
