The battle of the Ryder Quaich was contested this past Saturday between the '9am boys' and the 'Inner Sanctum'. The weather held up very well and the the match was very sportingly contested. 

I was called upon as the 'Wild Card' pick for the 'Inner Sanctum' and my partner, the legend that is Mr. Bob Ellis, and I managed a very fiercly contested halfed match on the last hole of the day. The 'Inner Sanctum' won this years Ryder Quaich with a margin of 7 points to 4.

More importantly the day was filled with amazing comradery and supporting a great cause. Both teams raised a total of £450 for the Malcolm Sargent House Trust. A fantastic effort. Congratulations again to all who took part.

1. There is no penalty unless his ball was to return to the area where the stance was taken for the practice swings
